Jim Salicrup

Jim Salicrup’s career began at 14 when his work was published in Kid’s Magazine. At 15, he began working at and spent the next 20 years writing and editing some of their most popular titles like Spider-Man (including Amazing Spider-Man 300, The Wedding! and Kraven’s Last Hunt), The Amazing Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk Toilet Paper, Uncanny X-Men, The Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America and Fantastic Four. He edited Marvel Age Magazine, Marvel Premiere’s Doctor Who run and began the Marvel (US) Doctor Who title.
During his tenure as Editor-in-Chief at Topps Comics, Salicrup launched Jack Kirby’s “Kirbyverse” and worked on movie, literary and television adaptations including Dracula, James Bond, Jurassic Park, and The X-Files. Then when ​​Stan Lee called, Salicrup went running to California to have a chance to work with his mentor again editing and writing (and even voicing Stan Lee’s clone!) at Stan Lee Media.
Salicrup is currently the Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of Papercutz, the all-ages graphic novel company that publishes The Smurfs, Geronimo Stilton, Trolls, Hotel Transylvania, Barbie, The Loud House and The Only Living Boy. Expanding with the imprints of Super Genius (Neil Gaiman’s Mr. Hero, Trish Trash: Rollergirl of Mars, High Noon) and Charmz (Stitched, Chloe), Salicrup and crew ensure that there is always something new for comics fans of every age to enjoy!
